Envisioned as a temple of well being, the Spa at Mayakoba, Riviera Maya will meld dramatic architectural accents, earthy organic materials and spiritual motifs to create a relaxed yet resonant spa environment.
Upon entering the reception area, dappled natural light will filter down upon guests from a domed ceiling above, creating a calm and relaxed prelude to the spa experience. A soft palette of neutral hues will layer across the spa environment. Rendered in organic stones and woods, the finishes are set to include weathered teak flooring and custom-designed stonework whose patterns infuse natural movement into the design, while the wood-floored fitness room will merge timelessly natural elements with up-to-the-moment cardio and weight resistance.
A landscaped relaxation courtyard will be the heart of the spa. Grouped around this central area, treatment rooms subtly illuminated with natural light become private inner sanctums of quiet composure; two pavilions within the yard will offer privacy for open-air treatments and lounging. An extended lap pool featuring a stone deck and lagoon view, and a yoga pavilion adjacent to the pool, will complete the tranquil spa enclave.
